What an awesome and mighty God we serve! My friends, I do not have much, but I will let you know, I have plenty of light shining everywhere I go! So, as I sat down this evening reviewing my mails and answering e-mails, my mind went on Luke, the physician by schooling, but a true and honest believer and follower of Jesus Christ. Luke's accounts is so detailed, but it is no surprise because as a physician, one must be very detailed-oriented. So in his letter to his dear friend, Theophilus, he wrote about his account of Jesus' life, God's mercy and grace and forgiveness of our sins and how what he saw and heard made him believe even more. My friends, I hope when you read Luke's account, his joy and excitement jump out at you.
My friends, we cannot and must not allow the devil to sabotage the work that some of us have worked very hard for. As the physician reminded us in the letter to Theophilus, "do not let the light in you become darkness." (Luke 11:35) How do you keep the light shining? You do so by praying each and every day, morning, noon and night. You also forgive others and forgive yourself. You must love the Lord with all your heart, mind, and soul, and love your neighbor as you love yourself. Forgive yourself and forgive others. Everyday is more refreshing!
Keeping your the light on takes dedication, commitment, submission and trust in the Lord. Do not let the devil cause you to hide your light, we are warriors of God's army and we have protected ourselves with the Word. To God be the glory.
